What is Life?
“Life on earth is but for a short time.” A quote I remember always hearing.
According to Merriam – Webster the word life means : the period of time when a person is alive or spiritual existence transcending physical death. Those were the two that stood out to me the most.
I always wondered Why am I here? I grew up in a Pentecostal church. I was baptized In Jesus Name and later on I was filled with the Holy Spirit. Growing up I loved the bible I start out reading the bible story books. Book about Daniel in the lion’s den , Moses and , Jesus and his miracles. I grew up some and started finding more pleasure in reading the bible. I remember every New Year they would hand out the Bible in a Year pamphlet. Every year I could never get past Exodus. Every time I read the bible it was like learning something new. There was also times I never understood it. On occasion I felt it was boring and irrelevant to what was happening to me in that moment. But never the less I would always come back to reading it no matter how frustrated I was.
Sorry got caught up for minute. Now where was I What is Life and Why am I here? I started asking myself these questions as a teen. There was no better place to go to ask these questions then to the all-knowing God I heard and read about. I started reading the bible and borrowing concordances , Sunday school books and dictionaries. Also by going to church and taking notes then coming home and going over the scripture or particular story. The pastor used for the sermon.
One day I learned about the devils fall from heaven. When I went through that story. I stumbled upon. Why we are here? To sum it up . I found out that we were created to worship God. God gave us free will to worship him.
Well I’m gonna end there. See ya in the next Blog!
“Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”
I title this tragedy because of all that I loss in life. Not all of what I have written has happened to me. But, I’ve seen , heard or read about someone who has. I just decided to write about it because it has been circulating through my thoughts lately. So I wanted to just write a quick little blog.
From day-to-day your never know what life can bring. There are somethings in life you don’t plan on. One thing is death . You never plan on burying your own child, or someone to die suddenly in an accident. There’s even those people who are in shape and take care of themselves as far as staying healthy. Like the neighbor down the street who ran every day. Then you find out from someone they died in their sleep . Then there’s the person you see everyday that you really admired. Then you find out that they just took their life.
You never plan on becoming paralyzed , losing your sight or hearing.
Another tragedy is getting raped . Or when your child comes to you when they are older. And they tell you they were molested. By someone you trusted and loved.
You never plan for floods, tornadoes and earthquakes.
All the tragedies I listed are things you never plan on happening. Yet it happens. In many cases it leaves people behind who wonder why? Others think how can this happen to me. Some people chose to hide their tragedy for years some even to death. Others chose to tell but somehow they are never released. Some take their tragedy and help others who went through the same thing. People find a new normal by using what they have. There are those who turn to God and others who turn away.
Tragedy can bring people together or tear them apart. It can make you view life differently.
Tragedy for me has caused me to want to know more about humanity and why we exist. What has it caused you to do?

Well I had a taste for ginger and decided to make some Ginger juice. Ginger is good for inflammation and nausea. If you like it strong then you’ll like this recipe.
Sugar in the Raw (Turbinado cane sugar) is the brand I used. But, you cane use any kind.
Put the whole ginger to soak in water so you can get the dirt off easier.
Then cut off the dark edges before you grate.
The boil water to pour over ginger and let sit over night.
Then strain the pulp .
Put the juice in the fridge.
Put pulp back in bowl boil water and pour over ginger.
Let sit over night again.
Then strain and Add sugar to your liking.
If you don’t like it strong just dilute with water.
This garlic bread was very easy to make.
Cut bread then melt butter in microwave. Drizzle butter over bread. Then apply garlic power over bread. Put in oven at 300 degrees. Keep in oven until edges are light brown.
My intentions were to come on here and write a post about goals for the New Year. Then good ole writers block creeped in. Hours before I hit the power button my mind was whirling with ideas. I couldn’t wait to be able to come on and start typing. Unfortunately all that came to an end. Hopefully I have more to say next time. See ya in the next post.
